It had specific streams for Cell & Gene therapy, Cell Culture & Upstream Processing, Cell Line Development & Engineering, Downstream Processing, and Manufacturing & Industry 4.0. It took place in Amsterdam from 9 to 12.

My impressions

Here are my impressions from the three days I spent at BPI 2023. As a first-time attendee, I dedicated my time primarily to the Downstream Processing, Computerized Modeling, and Continuous Processing sessions.

I found the experience to be quite wonderful. The event featured a plethora of engaging talks delivered by excellent speakers. Even topics that might have seemed less captivating managed to hold my complete attention. Throughout the three-day event, there was just one presentation that failed to capture the audience’s interest. This was largely attributed to the fact that the talk delved into a non-Downstream Processing subject in a room dedicated to DSP discussions.

The exhibition booths were equally intriguing. Exploring various companies allowed me to gain insights into emerging technological trends they aimed to bring to the market. The event’s coordination and the RAI in Amsterdam also deserve praise for efficiently catering to the needs of attendees, including providing food and beverages. This was especially appreciated given the packed schedule over the three days. Overall, my experience was so positive that I look forward to the possibility of attending BPI again in the future.
