The stories of Bastian the Wizard (part 2)

New challenges

After successfully obtaining the magic book, Bastiaan began an intensive training with Merlin. Every day he practiced with his wand and learned new spells and magical techniques. He continued to develop his magic skills and became more skilled in using them. But Bastiaan knew that there was still much to learn. He wanted to become the best wizard he could be and he knew that he had to take on new challenges for that. He asked Merlin to give him new assignments that could help him further his development as a wizard.

Merlin smiled approvingly at Bastiaan and came up with a new task for him. He told Bastiaan about a mysterious cave deep in the forest where an old wizard lived. The wizard was a master of black magic and was known as one of the most dangerous wizards in the whole region. He had some precious magical objects in his possession that he used for dark purposes. Merlin told Bastiaan that his mission was to find the cave and steal the magical objects so that they could no longer be used for evil. Bastiaan was excited about this new challenge and immediately started his journey.

He walked through the forest, along narrow paths and wild streams. It didn’t take long for him to find the cave. It was a dark and ominous place, full of spider webs and strange smells. But Bastiaan wasn’t afraid. He was determined to complete his mission.

He sneaked into the cave and started looking for the magical objects. But he was stopped by the wizard himself. The old wizard was a terrifying figure, with a long black robe and a grinning skull on his staff. He cast a spell and a dark cloud of smoke filled the cave. Bastiaan knew he had to act quickly. He concentrated and summoned a lightning bolt with his wand. The lightning bolt hit the old wizard’s staff and the staff broke in two. The wizard was weakened and Bastiaan quickly picked up the magical objects and fled the cave.

Outside the cave, Bastiaan was confronted by a group of angry kobolds. The kobolds were the old wizard’s henchmen and wanted to take the magical objects back. But Bastiaan was smarter. He used his magic to create a group of large toads that distracted the kobolds. He quickly fled and brought the magical objects back to Merlin.
