Chili con Carne

Spicy chili con carne with ground beef and beans.

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 red chili peppers
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 450g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 750g brown beans

Instructions

Sauté the onion, garlic and red chili in olive oil until they start to color. Brown the minced meat in the onion mixture while stirring constantly. Add diced bell pepper and cook briefly. Add the tomato paste and cook briefly to remove acidity. Add diced tomatoes and all other ingredients except parsley. Let the mixture simmer gently for half an hour without lid. (Add water if it becomes too dry). Add beans and heat for another 10 minutes. Serve with rice.
